NEW NEWS:    Check out this solo fastpacking journey by an incredible spirit...  http://brendaontherun-banffandbeyond.blogspot.com/

OLD NEWS! I started running in 1999 and joined the 2PPCLI's Jasper-Banff Relay team to prepare for a competition called 'The Mountain Man' (never did it as I got hooked on running) and during the relay I was allocated the Columbia Icefields 'mountain leg'. Running that course I was passed by someone who came up to me at the awards and said he competed in World Mountain Running and that I should try it.

FUTURE NEWS! Up next... World Mountain Running Championships September 6th (Italy).  Confirmation... next major goal marathon... ROCK N' ROLL ARIZONA!  ...but the Royal Victoria Marathon on Oct 11th could still be in the cards and will be decided very soon.

RECENT NEWS: New Marathon PB at the Rock n' Roll Seattle Marathon June 27th! Also the 6th fastest Canadian Marathon in 2009 so far! I am in the white singlet in the centre of the picture and here is a link to the finish line video (Although I was bib 6 put in 36) http://elite.competitor.com/webcast/sea/archive.html

'Running Through Mountains' is about dreaming, about overcoming obstacles and pursuing running with passion. In amongst these mountains you will find some of Jason Loutitt's mountain, trail and marathon training and racing information, read about his motivational speaking, running around the entire world in 2007 for clean drinking water with the Blue Planet Run as well as poetry that he continues to add to.
