‘Puzzles Put Together’– Feb 18,2015 by Jason Loutitt
Pieces thought lost
Pictures with a spot
Rumors of the missing
Return of the forgot
Interweaving messages
Sorted on their own
Sampling the options
On their own they did grow
Puzzles put together
By energy itself
Left in yesterday’s corner
Become our new must
Must we know in order to go
Or is going only through the dark
And if trust became not a way but the life
Can we lift each other when we fall
Pieces we had broke
On the pictures we hung up
Rumors of a message
Returned a mind to our hope
Interweaving clues became
Leading paths for our journey
Opening our expectations
To grow alongside them
Puzzles put themselves
Together on their own
Becoming today’s structure
Holding our future selves
Flower folding in the shade
Only holds that very minute
But opens in a spot of sun
To be that very instant
‘Followed My Advice’– Feb 17,2015 by Jason Loutitt
The list grew while I did not
A tree sprouted while
The earth did shout
What have you become
Measured happiness in moments
Without pictures
To hold them in
A more sacred place
Forgave the excuse of having reason
To justify cause and effect
Only to sit and listen
For what I knew I could not hear
So I followed the advice I gave you
In order to find my place in this world
Away from a draw to include me
In some creative plan of destiny
And because of this
Because of you
I have become more than
I ever will know
And because of this
Because of you
I have become all you have become
While I did try to learn how to show
My love wasn’t going to revolve
On me or what was mine
My hope wasn’t going to unfold
For meaning or for time
You followed my advice and I
Simply had to cry
For even though I didn’t listen
Time heard what I had inside
‘Rogues in Our Machine’– Feb 17,2015 by Jason Loutitt
Each and every one of us
Held up a light
Screwing perspective in
As if we had the right
We must accept never will we
Of letting go responsibly
Holding us forever
But remember
Never forgiving her
Never forgot he
For any decision of ready
We may make and allow
Moving from one frame
To another to another to another
To only show how, how, how
Thought it just needed
positive change or circumstance
But even that is plight
For if in our power
It was just as wrong as we were ever so
Ever so, ever so, right, right, right
What we will accept, you see
Is our fate is one day living
Delicately with energy
Not by now what we do or do not
But that by what we did
In doing that to us
Though still the same vibration
We totally forgot
We would have aimed to be
Loved by sustainability
Held by renewal
And succeed by right growth
But we see, it kept us coming back
To us knowing we were on our knees
For the assault we threw at life
From what we thought we knew
And really really could
See see see
Holding us in place,
Over and over
With prayer paper flying freely away
From compassion to a feeling
Of personal pain and personal greed
Greed to wish for those things
That didn’t remove a tremble in a soul
A spirit fractured and faltering
A hope fading and falling
And that now is our living truth
Threw away by our wishes
To be oh so tall, tall, tall
Placed in our cage
By our own judgement through the years
By our knowledge of the things we knew
By our inability to reach right through
And grab us by our real need
Even despite that we are still granted
A release to the light
We know now it is not just something
That hurtful us has also made
Just like our living, a little bit more true
It was in us, around us, through us but not of us
To throw us in the direction of instead us being of it
Where who is now defined as us
and them defined as we
So we are left now with this
Little thing in mind
That none of this is really real
For real was
The life of love we almost left behind
Dealing in our oh so warming teal
By our aim to achieve
What the mask of our wishes
Simply didn’t reveal
Now shedding our last time together
Love, hope, compassion and virtue
Perhaps just another rhyme
Life, although we the few are rogues
In your machine we do roar out
To announce we will not give in
To our momentary plight
Of seeming to be separate
We indeed own our places
We indeed have our rights
We indeed call the shots
To giving away all we
Ever ever got
It will be cast
Out to help as much and as many
As our fractured souls can muster
But remember, forgive life we always can
For it was just the shadow of us
That had momentarily
Tarnished the luster
Life, perhaps it was you all along
We only ever wished to care for
To lift us up from our plight
To give hope to our fluster
Perhaps in the hurt we felt
The love we still feel for you
Will be held up now as the light
To announce anything and anyone
Can be indeed and indeed be
Free and truly truly true
‘Overlooked’ – May 25,2014 by Jason Loutitt
There it is to finally say
That spot in that moment
Holding our placement in place
I undermined the meaning
Oh so long
Overlooked the value
Of the last line of our song
There it was in its final cry
The moment lifting us above
Scenery our minds had to try
To attach to the vision
Overlooking the fact
What was seen was seen through spirit
That always had our back
There we are in our future place
Together with the change
Not affecting anything done or to do
But only what we always
Thought for sure we knew
For we knew the truth
Of love, hope and caring
Only sacrificed its totem
In place of what we were bearing
Of the last line of this song
I wrote this song for you
So you may one day sing
We always held each other
‘A thousand times’ – Nov 28,2012 by Jason Loutitt
Ever give up all you had A thousand times
Ever wished you felt A thousand times
Ever want the start A thousand times
Ever dreamed you did A thousand times
Ever change the world A thousand times
And have it say to you That a thousand times
Was more than enough.
For it saw you then After the first
But you still went after The thousandth time.
Ever give up all you had A thousand times
Ever wished you felt A thousand times
Ever want the start A thousand times
Ever dreamed you did A thousand times
Ever change the world A thousand times
And have it say to you
That a thousand times
Was more than enough.
For it saw you then After the first
But you still went after The thousandth time.
Ever give up all you had A thousand times
Ever wished you felt A thousand times
Ever want the start A thousand times
Ever dreamed you did A thousand times
Ever change the world A thousand times
And have it say to you
That a thousand times Was more than enough
For it saw you then After the first
But you still went after
The thousandth time.
That a thousand times Was more than enough.
That a thousand times Was more than enough.
That a thousand times Was more than enough.
For it saw you then After the first
But you still went after The thousandth time.
