5 REASONS TO LOVE & LIVE IN BAMBOO

Fully sustainable, Regenerates in 55 days, Requires no pesticides, Requires little irrigation, Is biodegradable

Comfortable yet attractive clothing to wear during training sessions and races. Most athletes work tirelessly to trim the fat off their bodies and maintain a slender, lean and athletic build. When you work that hard, come race day every athlete wants to look and perform their best. When you feel good on the inside and look good on the outside, your confidence soars.

CA12345 is a NEW Sponsor and incredible LOCAL Vancouver Bamboo clothing company. It is an honour to showcase their quality and try my best to help their brand grow!

OLD SCHOOL!

Luna believes that when we become more connected and in tune with our own bodies, as well as with each other, we can often regain a fundamental source of happiness, joy, and good health. Our bodies are not broken by design and when we trust them, our instincts, and our desires, we often find a more genuine expression of who we are. The LUNA Sandals collection represents the best fruits of our experiences and experiments with old-school running sandals and gleanings from insights that we have gathered from both our ancestors and our customers.

I am looking forward to representing a company that really lives its creed and doesn’t get stuck within huge corporate wheels that slow down being there for us out there grinding to be a better athletes and people. Sandal on with instinct will I.

for high-risk environments

Always looking to the future, and in collaboration with the most demanding sportspeople and adventurers, Julbo is constantly innovating new technical lenses and frames that best meet the needs of its users. As a result, Julbo has become the most loved eyewear company on the planet for high-risk environments.

Being able to wear unbreakable lens that change to provide the best vision in changing light is an honour. Whether flying down a mountain trail and not wanting a bug in the eye to cause me to literally fly down the mountain, or commuting on a road and dealing with turbulence caused by those wheel people going places; a reminder to see that I can keep on seeing is indeed something to see.

Distance Runwear

http://distancerunwear.com/

best vancouver running store

A Vancouver running store that was started by Dave and Meghan Cressman. The need for a true specialty run shop in Vancouver was the inspiration for Distance Runwear and they have a collection of brands that represent the best in apparel, footwear and accessories. They also have stepped out of the norm with preferring to promote new and exciting brands and some established brands not seen in other specialty stores.

At a time when it felt like it was tough for me as an athlete to get support from companies and other runners, Dave stepped up and showed just how solid Distance Runwear is by reaching out and giving me support. It is an honour to share that you will not find a better Minimal, Mountain and Ultra running store on the west coast of BC and most likely in all of Canada. Thank you Dave!

It is all about environment

At another time in seeking support, George and Patagonia respectfully responded to my call for help by providing some access to great gear for 2015 despite applying too late and missing out on getting on the official trail running team. Thanks George! Check out the blog for cool articles by cool runners who also believe first and foremost in the environment as progress. I believe that the environmental costs of running shoe production is also one of the reasons they are no longer making runners.

Established in 1978, PIH is Vancouver Island’s largest running club. The PIH Team (Bob, Susan, Garfield and Claire) have been so supportive of my running with things such as recognition with awards such as Ultra Runner of the Year in 2011 and 2012.

Namaste PIH!
